Dominique Lafon is the man behind Domaine des Comtes Lafon in Meursault, arguably the godfather of the region, and this is his negoce label, made with the same organic and biodynamic care as his grand crus. The Chardonnay comes from parcels around Meursault and Puligny, fermented and aged in oak with just a touch new, so you get real finesse and texture at the humble Bourgogne level. Call it Meursault-adjacent, and pour it for anyone who thinks great white Burgundy has to cost a fortune.
