Tasting Notes & Food Pairings

Perfect Pairings

Neat, on the rocks, or in an Old Fashioned, Manhattan or Whiskey Sour. Pairs with barbecue ribs, smoked brisket, burgers, or glazed pork. After dinner, it is very good with pecan pie, bread pudding, or a square of dark chocolate.

Tasting Profile

Noticeable oak on the nose, with vanilla, caramel and toasted nuts. The palate leads with pecan pie sweetness — brown sugar, butter, baked nuts — over a medium to full body with a warm, spicy backbone. The finish is round and lingering, oaky and sweet rather than sharp.
