"The 2016 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru has an entrancing and intense bouquet that bursts with Morello cherries, blueberry, hints of violet and blackcurrant pastilles. There is wonderful delineation here. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannin, a fine bead of acidity, the most Bonnes-Mares of the Bonnes-Mares in this flight. It has the exuberance of a de Vogüé, but it transpires to be from Dominique Lagune around the corner. Wonderful. Tasted blind at the 2016 Burgfest tasting." -Neal Martin
