Burghound

"Like the Reignots this is closed and brooding at present though aggressive swirling grudgingly liberates cool, pure and airy red berry fruit scents along with a profusion of floral elements that are also trimmed in a discreet application of wood. There is a lovely sense of energy and underlying tension to the intensely mineral-driven, focused, precise and driving medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a moderately austere and gorgeously sustained finale. This is very Latricières and should age accordingly."

"The 2012 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru contains 60% whole clusters. It has a voluminous bouquet, quite lush and generous, although not as complex or as cerebral as the 2013. The palate is zest, almost effervescent on the entry with kirsch and orange rind infusing the red fruit and with a lovely plumpness towards the rounded finish." -Vinous

Focus On: Burgundy

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
