Guglielmo Manenti and his wife Marita work a tiny, strictly organic four-hectare estate completely naturally, favoring old bush vines and avoiding heavy extraction or new oak. The result is one of the most transparent, high-toned expressions of Sicily you can find, all florals and crunchy red fruit with electric lift. If you love Cru Beaujolais or count yourself an Occhipinti fan, this is your wine, a Vittorian alternative from a producer working at microscopic scale. Serve with a slight chill.

He's a member of the I Vigneri consortium founded by Salvo Foti, uniting Sicilian winemakers committed to tradition and terroir.
