"The 2016 Poujeaux has a pretty, floral bouquet that reveals a light marine influence in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with quite a potent spicy entry, plenty of black pepper and tobacco and a boisterous finish. A little uncouth but still enjoyable. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting." -Neal Martin

"Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Poujeaux is scented of fried herbs, tar and earth with baked plums and a waft of rocks. The palate is medium-bodied, firm, chewy and herbal." -Lisa Perrotti-Brown
