The hook here is a cask you almost never see in whiskey: sweet chestnut. Triple Triple is the usual triple-distilled Jameson taken through three wood regimes instead of one — ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, plus hand-selected sweet chestnut casks, which is where the chocolate-and-fudge richness comes from. It's a genuinely different animal from standard Jameson: rounder, sweeter, more dessert-leaning, while keeping the softness that makes the house so easy to drink. Blended from single pot still and single grain whiskeys at Midleton Distillery in County Cork, bottled at 40%. The 375ml is the smart way in — enough to get to know it without committing to a full bottle. Jameson's own advice is to drink it neat or over ice, and that's right; this one doesn't need a mixer.

Perfect Pairings

A wedge of dark chocolate tart, salted caramel or sticky toffee pudding; toasted almonds and candied pecans; aged Gouda or Coolea with a drizzle of honey; espresso and a slice of pear frangipane. Also excellent poured into strong black coffee.

Tasting Profile

Aromas of toffee, fudge, vanilla and hazelnut chocolate, with sweet pear and green apple behind and the chestnut wood pushing toward dark chocolate and toasted almond. The palate is soft, creamy and textured — more fudge and vanilla, mild nuttiness, gentle wood spice. The finish lingers on oak and chestnut. 40% ABV.
