Traverse of the Southern European Coastline, 8/4/26

$40.00

Please join us for a coastal adventure as we traverse Europe's southern coastline — we'll be tasting 40+ wines from 3 countries in a walkaround-style tasting on Tuesday, August 4th from 5:30 to 7:30pm on our mezzanine. Drop in anytime to taste these stunning, sun-kissed cuvées.

Your first stop takes you to the wild shores of Spain as the green and oceanic region of Rías Baixas in Galicia. Let yourself be carried away by the crisp fruit of our Albariño grapes grown on traditional pergolas, offering you a very fresh, sharp, and seaside taste.

Next, we sail toward our second stop: the Canary Islands and Catalonia. Here, you will experience the contrast between ocean power and Catalan energy. We will drop anchor at the Canaries to discover volcanic power and salty tension at Bodegas Auratava and Bimbache. Then, we will dock on the golden shores of Catalonia, where the minerality of Xarel-lo, the prestige of Mas del Serral biodynamic sparkling wines, and the freshness of Sumoll Negre await you.

We continue our journey toward the third stop, the Greek Islands and Cyprus, for a dive into myths and extreme terroirs. We will head to Crete to enjoy Muscat and Vidiano, then to Kefalonia and Cyprus with Robola and Xynisteri. Our adventure will reach its peak on the volcanic rock of Santorini with masterful Assyrtiko wines, before dropping anchor under the Cretan sun to discover local red grape varieties.

Our Greek journey continues with a fourth stop in the land of the gods and great historic vineyards, in the heart of mainland Greece and its mythical islands, shaped by highly elegant native grape varieties. We first land in the Peloponnese, then set sail again for the Cyclades to explore the "haute couture" wines of Domaine Sigalas, their salty tension, and the smooth touch of the rare, red Limniona.

Finally, we reach the last stop of our journey: the vibrant Atlantic coast of Portugal. We'll stop off to taste fresh, aromatic Vinho Verde and the Azores' volcanic profile before heading to Bairrada to drop anchor among exceptional red wines and Filipa Pato's mythical pre-phylloxera cuvée, Missão.

The cost of this tasting is $40 and a $20 credit at the store will be issued with your purchase. We hope you can join us on Tuesday, August 4th from 5:30 to 7:30pm on our mezzanine for this very special event.

Cancellations can be processed for a refund with at least 48 hours' notice before the start of class. See all our policies here.
