Marie and Vincent Tricot are natural wine pioneers in France’s Auvergne, farming vines on volcanic soils and crafting wines with minimal intervention and maximum personality. Their “Escargot” Blanc is a playful but serious white made from Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, bottled as Vin de France.

Farming is organic and biodynamic, with native yeast fermentation, no fining or filtration, and only minimal sulfur at bottling. The 2023 vintage brings plenty of brightness and texture: think crisp green apple, citrus pith, white flowers, and a faint herbal edge from the Sauvignon. There's a little wildness (this is natural wine, after all), but it’s well-integrated and food-friendly.

It’s not trying to be polished—it’s trying to be alive. Best served with a chill and an open mind. Pair with raw vegetables, soft cheeses, or grilled seafood.
