Pierre-Vincent Girardin represents the 13th generation of his family to make wine in Burgundy—a distinction that underscores the region's multi-generational commitment to terroir expression. When his father sold the family domaine in 2011, he kept 4.5 hectares of the finest vineyard parcels, establishing a platform for Pierre-Vincent to announce himself as a rising talent in 2017. His state-of-the-art winery in Meursault reflects precision winemaking: meticulous temperature control, small-format oak barrels (456 liters) for minimal oak penetration, and total commitment to aromatic freshness. This 2021 Meursault 1er Cru Les Poruzots, at three years of age, displays the mineral precision and subtle richness that characterize Pierre's approach: citrus, white stone fruit, and subtle hazelnut with a mineral backbone reflecting limestone soils. The wine's bright acidity and refined character make it drinking beautifully now, with potential for development over the next 8-10 years.
