"The 2022 Como Deus o Fez Terrantez do Pico, possibly from the oldest Terrantez vineyard of the new plantings, was planted in 2012 in the south of the island. Most of the rest of the grapes from the variety are in the north of the island. So, this is different and quite impressive for 2022. He was ultra careful to keep the grapes healthy, and he had to pick them early. A small volume was vinified with a lot of care to avoid oxidation, and he fermented one 225-liter barrel and the rest in stainless steel. It has a very impressive nose and a seamless and complex palate, with a fine texture that's almost chalky and precise with clean flavors. It has 11.84% alcohol with a pH of 3.37 and 6.33 acidity. 1,050 bottles were filled in November 2023" -Luis Gutiérrez
