“Peter Max” 2022 is Crystallum’s flagship regional blend, combining fruit from several top Pinot sites in Walker Bay and Hemel-en-Aarde, two of South Africa’s best cool-climate zones. Fermented with a portion of whole clusters and aged in mostly older oak, the wine emphasizes clarity, energy, and transparency over weight.

The 2022 vintage is especially bright and expressive: red cherry, cranberry, and rose petal, with underlying notes of spice, earth, and graphite. The tannins are fine, the acidity fresh, and the finish long and pure. It’s a Cape Pinot that leans toward Burgundy in structure, but retains its own coastal identity.
