Sattlerhof in Gamlitz, South Styria, represents a 139-year family tradition (founded 1887) under the stewardship of Willi Sattler and sons Andreas and Alexander. One of the first to bottle high-quality dry white wines under its own name (1970s), Sattler is now a leading producer of Styrian Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Blanc—every single grape from its own 40 hectares organically and biodynamically farmed. This 2022 Zweigelt (Austria's signature red variety) shows Sattler's versatility in red wines. Zweigelt emphasizes bright cherry, subtle spice, and the accessibility that defines the variety. At three years old, it's showing mature complexity. Certified organic since 2016 and biodynamic, the wine reflects Sattler's commitment to sustainability. Ready now or age 3-4 years.
