A 100% Sangiovese from Tuscany's Pliocene-origin terroir at 270 meters elevation with layers of sand and stone over clay banks. Fermented in enameled concrete tanks, aged 20-22 months in French oak barrels. The 2004 vintage has evolved beautifully and represents pure Sangiovese character with structural complexity.
