Calea’s 2023 Nero d’Avola comes from Terre Siciliane IGT, a broad appellation that allows producers to craft regional wines with freedom and flexibility. This bottling sticks to what Nero d’Avola does best: dark berry fruit, soft structure, and a little sun-kissed spice, without the heavy oak or overripe fruit that sometimes weighs down the style.

Expect aromas of plum, blackberry, and wild herbs, with a hint of licorice and cracked pepper. The palate is round and juicy, with gentle tannins and enough lift to make it food-friendly and quaffable. It's ideal slightly chilled and pairs with everything from pizza and burgers to grilled veggies or pasta arrabbiata.
