"The 2021 Vacqueyras Cuvée de Lopy checks in at 14.2% alcohol. Grassy, spicy and cedary subtleties add complexity to this red-fruited and polished 2021. Slightly chalky tannins mark the medium-bodied palate and call for two more years in bottle. This structured 2021 shows the same quality as the 2021 Cuvée Azalaïs, but I suspect the Cuvée de Lopy has a slightly longer lifespan." -Nicolas Greinacher

"Bright raspberry and redcurrant characters. A bit more fruit and generosity than this producer's Azalais, but the same bright acidity - crunchy, without any of the slight bitterness of Azalais. Good sense of tension. Not long or rich, but fine and crunchy. Same old-vine parcel as always. Concrete, then tonneau. Tiny bunches."

"Shows black pepper–dusted plum and garrigue notes that start out silky but are quickly propped up, with chewy tannins on a firm frame. Stays light on its feet through the finish, which reveals violet and mesquite smoke details. Drink now through 2028."
