Agrapart et Fils' Champagne Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Terroirs Grand Cru is a stunning non-vintage Champagne that epitomizes the essence of Côte des Blancs terroir. Crafted from 100% Chardonnay sourced from Grand Cru vineyards in Avize, Cramant, Oiry, and Oger, this Champagne delivers an exceptional purity and minerality that are hallmarks of the region. With base wines from the 2019 and 2020 vintages, it offers a fresh and vibrant expression of these premier sites.

On the nose, this Blanc de Blancs reveals delicate floral aromas, intertwined with notes of green apple, lemon zest, and a chalky minerality. The palate is equally precise, showcasing bright citrus and stone fruit flavors, complemented by a subtle nuttiness and hints of freshly baked bread. With its extra brut dosage, the wine finishes crisp and clean, highlighting the chalky soils of the Grand Cru vineyards from which it is born.

Winemaker Pascal Agrapart uses sustainable practices in the vineyard, with a focus on minimal intervention during winemaking to let the terroir shine. Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts, and the wine undergoes an extended aging period on the lees, further adding to its complexity and depth. This Champagne is perfect for pairing with oysters, sashimi, or delicate seafood dishes, or simply enjoyed on its own to fully appreciate its refined structure and elegant mousse. Agrapart et Fils continues to be one of the leading grower-producers in the region, known for their commitment to quality and terroir-driven Champagnes.

Professional Reviews

Antonio Galloni

AG 93
"The NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Terroirs Grand Cru is another terrific wine in the lineup this year. Chalk, white pepper, sage and mint meld into a core of lemon peel and crushed rocks. All the elements are so well balanced. An equal blend of 2019 and 2018 juice from 100% Grand Cru sites in Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry, the Terroirs saw natural fermentation and 100% malolactic fermentation. Dosage is 5 grams per liter." -Antonio Galloni

Robert Parker

RP 93
"Based on the 2019 vintage, but with a preponderance of reserve wines from 2018, Agrapart's NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Terroirs delivers notes of citrus oil, white flowers, freshly baked bread and hazelnuts, followed by a medium to full-bodied, creamy and satiny palate that's bright, lively and chalky. Wines from Oger dominate the blend." -William Kelley

Decanter

D 94
"Sourced from specific grand cru plots of older vines in Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry, this blend of two vintages displays a zesty lemon aroma, followed by a palate full of fresh apple and tangerine flavours with creamy wood touches. At 5g/l of residual sugar, this nudges into the Extra-Brut category, and it must be one of the very best examples of the style. It works particularly well as a blanc de blancs, and its dry, steely, mineral, moreish character imparts great balance to the ripe fruit profile."

Wine Enthusiast

WE 92
"A blend from grand cru vineyards in the top villages of the Côte des Blancs. This is Agrapart's base wine, but it is an impressive base, with its extreme minerality that demands food, its lime, kiwi and textured fruit skin flavors. It finishes with great depth and complexity." -Roger Voss

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
