“Corso” 2019 is Stella di Campalto’s single-parcel Brunello, sourced from a select part of her biodynamically farmed vineyards near Castelnuovo dell’Abate. Stella vinifies each vineyard and harvest block separately, and only in the finest vintages does a particular site—like Corso—reveal itself with enough identity to merit a standalone bottling.

The 2019 vintage brought long, even ripening conditions, ideal for Stella’s sensitive, non-interventionist style. The wine is fermented naturally, aged slowly in large Slavonian oak casks, and bottled with minimal sulfur. It’s pure, perfumed, and hauntingly expressive, with aromas of rose petal, sour cherry, tea leaf, dried herbs, and soft earth, unfolding into a palate that is silken, vibrant, and laced with fine tannins and minerality.

In 6-liter format, the wine will evolve even more slowly and gracefully, making it ideal for long-term cellaring or a truly special occasion. This is not Brunello for brute force—it’s about poise, transparency, and emotional resonance.

Pair with truffle dishes, aged cheeses, or contemplative conversation, and decant generously if opening young.

Since 1992, Stella di Campalto has been producing utterly classic Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino, in the rearview of legendary mentors and neighbors (Poggio di Sotto, Ciacci Piccolomini, Uccelliera, you get it). A genuine gift to the drinker, Stella tends to age her wines even longer than most old-schoolers, and as a result, they are often more ready to drink. It only takes one bottle to recognize that these are soulful wines.
