Papegaai Red 2024 comes from South Africa’s Swartland, crafted by the team behind Sadie Family Wines. Primarily Cinsault with a splash of Syrah, it’s grown on dry-farmed bush vines rooted in decomposed granite. Fermented naturally and aged in old casks, it highlights freshness and vibrant texture.

An unpretentious, lively red that captures the spirit of the Cape’s new wave — bright fruit, soft tannins, and pure drinking pleasure.

"The 2024 Papegaai, which means parrot, is an unsulfured blend of 55% red and 45% white varieties that comes from the farm, sold mainly in Canada. It has a nose of tart red cherries, like a young Grenache. The palate is crisp and crunchy with no funkiness at all, closing with a grippy cherry and raspberry finish. Delicious." -Neal Martin
