From high-elevation vineyards on volcanic soils in Irpinia, Terredora’s Campore Riserva is Aglianico built for the long haul—and now, with over 15 years of age, it’s speaking in a lower, richer register. The 2007 vintage was structured and ripe at harvest, and it has aged into a wine of deep tone and quiet concentration.

This isn’t rustic Taurasi. It’s refined, but still firm—plum, leather, dried herbs, and warm spice wrapped around a mineral frame that reflects the region’s black volcanic rock. The tannins have softened into polish, the fruit has darkened and dried, and the wine carries itself with the calm intensity of something that’s grown into its bones.

If you think of southern Italy as a land of big, rustic reds, Campore Riserva 2007 offers a different lens: aged Aglianico as noble, grounded, and enduring as any great Barolo or Rioja Gran Reserva.
