Vineyard
A blend of Garnacha, Carignan and Syrah from 10-40 year old vineyards in the village of Masroig (DO Montsant) and farmed organically. 80% Garnacha, 15% Carignan, 5% Syrah
Soil
Red clay loam (the 'roig' in "Masroig"), with sand and a little calcareous component.
Viticulture
practicing organic
Vinification
90% destemmed fruit macerated for 9 days with 10% whole cluster. After pressing, fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. Total SO2 is 56 mg/l
Aging
Aged for 9 months in stainless steel. Lightly filtered before bottling.
