The story of Pursued by Bear starts with a journey: actor Kyle Maclachlan returned to Washington's Columbia Valley, to make wine a stone's throw away from where he grew up. This journey began in 2005, and now his passion for great wine is undeniable. In choosing styles and varieties, Kyle and winemaker Eric Dampfler did not stray far from the classics — they embraced Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah for their red wines; for their delightful rosé, the pair went with a pale, Provençal-style blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre, inspired by the classic rosés of Bandol.
