Domaine Michel Lafarge, in Volnay, has a family history stretching to the 18th century, with bottling beginning in the early 1900s. Frédéric Lafarge, Michel's son, now leads the domaine, farming 10 hectares biodynamically. The vineyard parcels—50-year-old average-age vines—sit in the middle of Volnay bordering 1er Crus, all southeast-facing in clay-limestone soils that create wines of remarkable elegance.

The 2013 Volnay Vendanges Sélectionnées (selected harvest) represents the finest fruit from the vintage. At 13 years old, the wine is showing beautiful maturity.
