Whiskey (especially bourbon) lovers, have you ever wondered how you'd fare as a master distiller? Now's your chance: Our friends at Skurnik and the Barrell Craft Spirits team are visiting and they've put together an exciting class devoted to the art of blending.

Barrell Craft Spirits founders Joe and Tripp will take us through their history, then lead a masterclass on tasting as we learn the components of a great blend and understand what each part contributes. Participants will then be challenged to reconstruct the blend—or elaborate!

You'll learn from the best. Joe and Tripp say, “We don’t simply follow a recipe or blend by consensus. Rather, we blend based on years of expertise and experimentation. We personally taste and blend hundreds of products each year and have experimented with thousands of unique blends over the past 10 years. We are passionate perfectionists fueled by curiosity.”

Seating is very limited for this exclusive seminar. The cost of this seminar is $40 and a $20 credit at the store will be extended to each guest for a future purchase. We hope you can join us at 6pm on Friday, April 26 on our mezzanine for this very special event.

A Perfect Storm of Greatness: 2019 Brunello from Ciacci Piccolomini

Greatness in Brunello di Montalcino meant, for generations, vines located in the original heart of the DOC in and around the village of Montalcino itself. But starting in the 1970s, a group of producers started to discover that just to the southeast of Montalcino, in the commune of Castelnuovo dell’Abate, you could make some very special, and especially elegant, Brunello.

Old Vines + New Wave = Sandlands' Outstanding, Super Fresh Zinfandel

Does a fresh-styled, old-vine Zinfandel — from 100+ year old vines, and made by one of the true icons of the California new wave — sound as good to you as it does to us?
