If you bottled up fresh mountain air and a handful of alpine flowers, you’d get something close to this. Jean Perrier’s Abymes is pure Jacquère from Savoie—aka the land of fondue, skiing, and insanely refreshing white wines.

This "Cuvée Gastronome" is Perrier’s slightly more serious take: still crisp and feather-light, but with a little extra texture and minerality under all that lemony zip. It's basically the ultimate food wine—bright enough for oysters and sushi, but sturdy enough to stand up to melted cheese and hearty alpine fare.

If you like Muscadet, Picpoul, or basically anything that makes you want to book a trip to France, this is your jam. Bonus: it's low in alcohol, so you can actually drink it like you’re on vacation.

Perfect for: oysters, raclette, sushi nights, or pretending you’re at a ski lodge in the Alps (even if you’re just in your backyard).

The Savoie is a small, mountainous region, with unique terroir, local grapes and traditions. The Perrier family have been vignerons there since 1853. And while they've been at the forefront of quality innovations (they were the first to bottle their own production way back in 1947, when much of Burgundy still didn't), they are traditionalists where it counts: the farming is sustainable, they hand-harvest and the work in the winery lets the beautiful varietal and limestone-clay soils do the talking.

What importer Bowler Wine has to say about this wine...

100% Jacquère. The Abymes appellation sits lower and the slope than the Apremont and is on generally flatter land. Stainless steel fermentation and aging.
