Domaine Huet Masterclass with Sarah Hwang, 3/24/2026

Domaine Huet needs little introduction at Flatiron Wines: this iconic Vouvray producer makes some of the world’s most beloved white wines, including ageworthy treasures that last for decades. On Tuesday, March 24 at 6pm on our mezzanine, co-owner Sarah Hwang will join us to present these fabulous wines. 

About Domaine Huet:
Founded in 1928 by Gaston Huet with the purchase of the vineyard “Le Haut Lieu”, the estate expanded in the mid-1950s with the acquisition of two additional vineyards on the Première Côte — Le Mont (purchased in 1957) and Clos du Bourg (farmed since 1953, purchased in 1963) — which ensured the domaine’s place in the French wine pantheon.
One of the earliest practicioners of Biodynamics, Domaine Huet started farming Biodynamically in 1990, and have been certified since 1993.

Today Domaine Huet is owned and operated by American brother-sistor duo Sarah & Hugo Hwang, who since taking over have maintained continuity of the key vineyard/cellar team, including manager Jean-Bernard Berthomé who joined the estate in 1979 (and retired after the 2019 vintage), and today, under Benjamin Joliveau, a Vouvray native who worked hand-in-hand with Jean-Bernard starting in 2009. The Hwangss, along with the Huet team, continue to produce wines of incredible transparency, purity, and balance at this world-renowned estate.

The cost of this seminar is $50 and a $20 credit at the store will be extended to each guest for a future purchase.
