We could not be more excited to welcome Tom Garrett, founder and winemaker at California's iconic Detert Family Vineyards, to the shop on Wednesday, November 13 at 6pm. Detert is one of our favorite classic Napa houses. 

Tom Garrett is one of the three great-grandsons behind the Detert label. In his youth, Tom (along with his brother John and cousin Bill) got his start in winemaking while helping the family make small batches of Cabernet Franc at home in the garage. But his career in the wine industry really began in 1999 when he joined Turley Wine Cellars in St. Helena to learn the craft as a cellar hand. From there, he spent 15 years working with exceptional winemaking mentors at some of Napa Valley’s finest wineries including Joseph Phelps, Robert Mondavi and Revana Family Vineyards. Since 2013, Tom has focused solely on Detert Family Vineyards and his other Napa Valley-based winery, Dakota Shy. 

We will taste Detert's wonderful Napa Valley wines, along with light bites. Tickets are $40 and a $20 store credit will be issued to attendees. We hope you can join us for this special event.
