A non-riserva Gattinara from historic Cantina Delsignore, whose family roots in Gattinara trace to the 16th century. Il Putto comes from Nebbiolo grown on some of Gattinara's finest vineyard slopes, aged for three years in large used wooden casks (botti) before release. The 2020 offers the savory, elegant character that defines Alto Piemonte Nebbiolo: aromas of herbs and mineral combine with dense fruit, full body, and elegant tannins soaked in violets and rhubarb. Young for a Gattinara, it carries refreshing acidity and a polished finish, though this wine will truly flourish after 5 to 10 years in bottle.
