Your gateway to Barbaresco from a family that's been there since 1860. De Forville's Langhe Nebbiolo draws from the same vineyard sites—Rabaja, Loreto, Pozzo—that supply their single-cru Barbarescos, using fruit from 30-year-old vines and younger selections. Brothers Paolo and Valter Anfosso ferment in stainless steel for 28 days, then age in large 50-60 hectoliter oak barrels. The result is authentic Nebbiolo at a fraction of Barbaresco prices—medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity. Drink slightly cool, no decanting necessary.

This cuvée is a selection of Nebbiolo from the younger vines of the various “cru” in Barbaresco supplemented by grapes from the neighboring village of Neive. The average age of the vines is 30 years. The wine is fermented in stainless steel for 10 days to 2 weeks and then is refined in large oak barrels for an additional year before being bottled. An astonishing value … as are all of the fine wines from this remarkable estate. We import as much as 9,600 bottles per year of the Langhe Nebbiolo.
