Dominique Lafon has Burgundy in his blood, and Domaine des Comtes Lafon is one of the reasons Meursault is spoken of in hushed tones. This is the village Meursault — a blend of parcels assembled for tension and minerality, farmed organically and biodynamically since Lafon took the reins and converted the estate. It's white Burgundy the way it should taste: rich but not heavy, layered but never overwrought, with a length that keeps unspooling.
