Domaine du Bagnol sits right at the edge of the Mediterranean, nestled beneath the limestone cliffs of Cap Canaille in Cassis, Provence. The estate has long been a standard-bearer for serious, site-driven rosé, made with organic farming and old-school techniques that put freshness and texture first.

The 2024 rosé is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Mourvèdre, grown on limestone and clay soils that give the wine its signature mineral lift. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, it’s bottled early to preserve its crispness and energy.

Rather than chase fruit or flash, this rosé is about subtlety and structure: think pale peach, grapefruit zest, wild herbs, and a hint of sea breeze. Domaine du Bagnol is only 200 meters from the Mediterranean. The sun is hot and the grapes (Grenache, Mourvedre and Cinsault) have no trouble ripening. But the breezes that make the village so pleasant for the people lucky enough to summer there also keep the fruit feeling fresh.

And the rocky hills are full of clay and limestone. Beautiful to look at and just as beautiful to taste in the wine they grow. The limestone-mineral structure and clay-rich layers of fruit are balanced beautifully by the tang of sea breeze and mountain wind.
