Over 200 years of family stewardship—the d'Angerville family has owned these historic vineyards since 1804. Champans, first documented in 1507, was once owned by the Dukes of Burgundy. Guillaume d'Angerville continues the estate's pioneering legacy—his grandfather Sem was among the first to estate-bottle in the 1920s, and the domaine converted to biodynamics in 2006. It is surprisingly mineral-driven given the warmth of the season, with the terroir really coming through. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly edgier tannins compared to the Taillepieds.
