Fabien Coche, Bourgogne Cote d'Or Pinot Noir, 2022
is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Sourced from vineyards just outside Meursault and Volnay, Fabien Coche’s Bourgogne Côte d’Or is a serious step up from generic Bourgogne Rouge. The 2022 vintage brought ripe, healthy fruit and excellent balance, and Coche’s gentle, low-intervention approach—partial whole-cluster, native yeasts, and minimal new oak—lets the terroir shine through.
In the glass, it’s fragrant and focused: ripe red cherry, raspberry, dried rose, and a touch of forest floor. The texture is silky and light on its feet, but with enough structure and savor to satisfy. It’s approachable now, but there’s a subtle backbone that suggests a few years of evolution wouldn’t hurt.
Perfect with roast chicken, mushroom dishes, or even lightly chilled on a warm evening, this is weeknight Burgundy that drinks like weekend wine—quietly complex, beautifully made, and a great introduction to a serious domaine.
