We are huge fans of Nancy Irelan, co-owner/winemaker at Red Tail Ridge and a pioneer of New York sparkling wine. She'll join us on the mezzanine on Wednesday, November 19 for a masterclass on how she's making amazing traditional-method sparkling wines, debuting now under her brand-new Limnad label, in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Nancy has a fascinating story and an amazing scientific background, and we can't wait to get geeky with her while tasting her excellent wines. She will also be including her acclaimed Red Tail Ridge Riesling, Blaufrankisch, Pinot Noir and more.

"This Finger Lakes winery has made a convincing argument that great Riesling can be made in upstate New York. That’s largely thanks to winemaker Nancy Irelan, who has a Ph.D. in grape genetics but spent the majority of her career working at Gallo, researching alternative grape varieties that would thrive in changing climates. Outside of age-worthy Riesling, Red Tail Ridge Winery is also experimenting with grower-style sparkling wines and cool-climate European varietals like Lagrein, Teroldego, Dornfelder, and Blaufrankisch." - Wine Enthusiast, 26th Annual Wine Star Awards

The cost of this seminar is $40 and a $20 credit will be extended to ticket holders for a future purchase. We hope you can join us on the mezzanine at 6pm on Wednesday, November 19 for this special evening.

But the surprise winner with the food was a Corsican red, the 2020 Antoine Arena Patrimonio Rouge, "Morta Maio.”

Luxury Burgundy Wine for All: Lafarge's Iconic Passetoutgrains

Perhaps the only thing we love more than Burgundy Pinot Noir is Burgundy Pinot Noir blended with Gamay, a style of wine known as Passetoutgrains. The best examples combine the elegance and structure of Pinot Noir with the playful, juicy character of Gamay — truly the best of both worlds.
