Among the rarest wines Giuseppe Quintarelli ever made, with a legend to match. The name 'Bandito' nods to a wartime story of white wine hidden from occupying forces and found years later, aged beautifully, and Quintarelli 'banishes' this sweet white for a decade or more before release. Made from dried Garganega and other native grapes, this 1986 is a deeply mature back-vintage. Roughly four decades on, expect amber color and a wild, layered bouquet of dried tropical fruit, honey, candied citrus, and spice. A genuine unicorn. Drink now. Provenance from a private cellar.

More about Giuseppe Quintarelli

The icon of Valpolicella showed that traditional methods—extreme patience, obsessive detail, and refusal to compromise—could craft wines of staggering depth and complexity. For over six decades, Quintarelli aged his Amarone and Recioto in oak far longer than anyone else, releasing only what met his exacting standards. His legendary hand-written labels are a collector's dream; his wines, a masterclass in what Venetian terroir can achieve.
