Rowanberry eau-de-vie produced by Hans Reisetbauer in Axberg, Austria
Distilled from wild-harvested rowanberries sourced from the Mühlviertel region of upper Austria at over 700 meters above sea level, as well as from the Czech Republic
Rowanberries are harvested in autumn and undergo a 12-day fermentation at 18.5 °C (65 °F)
Distilled twice in a Christian Carl copper pot still
Rested for a minimum of 3 years in stainless steel
Earthy and floral with notes of cherry, almond, angelica root, and horseradish with faint allspice on the nose; the palate is elegant and refined but punchy, with cherry, violet, and orange blossom on a very floral finish; vaguely reminiscent of kirshwasser
41.5% ABV
