From the tiny, thoughtful Jura estate Les Granges Paquenesses, La Pierre Renaissance is classic sous voile Savagnin—aged under a natural veil of yeast for over two years, without topping up. This traditional method gives the wine its signature oxidative character, and in the hands of a careful winemaker like Myriam Gahyva, the result is savory, intense, and full of place.

The 2020 vintage is taut and layered, showing notes of preserved lemon, green walnut, curry leaf, chamomile, and salty almonds. There’s no fruitiness here—just structure, acidity, and that unmistakable Jura funk wrapped in a long, bone-dry finish. It’s not for the faint of palate, but with aged Comté, smoked fish, or creamy mushroom dishes, it’s absolutely transcendent. A soulful, old-school bottle for lovers of the wild side of white wine.
