Greek mountain Xinomavro from a region that time forgot. Siatista in Western Macedonia was famous for wine in the 19th century before fading into obscurity. Dimitris Diamantis is reviving abandoned old vineyards at nearly 1,000 meters elevation on rocky limestone. Xinomavro—Greece's noblest red grape, often compared to Nebbiolo—delivers high acidity, firm tannins, and aromas of sundried tomato, spice, and wild strawberry. This is a mid-weight expression with fine tannins, unfiltered, low-intervention. For adventurous drinkers seeking Europe's undiscovered corners.
