Taras Ochota was a national treasure — one of Australia's most creative and beloved natural winemakers, working steep Adelaide Hills vineyards with a lightness of touch and a sense of humor that made his wines uniquely his own. He passed in 2020, and Amber Ochota has continued the project with the same conviction. 'Out of my Head' is their Grenache — old vines, whole-cluster, native yeasts — and it represents everything the Ochota Barrels project stood for: intense, laser-focused, lithe, and stony, with earthy depth beneath the fruit. This is not big, jammy Adelaide Grenache. It is something considerably more interesting.
