Fifty-year-old Riesling vines thrive on a 70-degree gradient, amphitheatre-shaped, south-oriented slope overlooking the Main river. Berries here are tiny, flavorful, and highly aromatic.
The whole vinification process is very gentle and gravity-fed. After fermentation with wild yeast, the must is racked into old DRC barrels for 18 months, then bottled with a touch of sulfur.
It's a bone-dry wine with a touch of peach, notes of mint, layers of minerality, and a slightly creamy finish from extended lees contact.
