Savagnin is rare for the Finger Lakes—an ancient vinifera and genetic ancestor to both Chenin Blanc and Grüner Veltliner. Ravines' Agricolae project showcases this unusual varietal on steep slopes above Keuka Lake, where long growing seasons and mineral soils bring out its distinctive character. Fermented without flor, it's bright and lively with almond notes and intriguing salinity, a wine that challenges expectations of what the region can produce.
