Pink wine from a producer most people associate with serious Chenin Blanc — and that pedigree shows up in the bottle. Romain Guiberteau is one of the Loire's most celebrated terroir-driven winemakers; he learned at the elbow of Nady Foucault of Clos Rougeard and farms the great limestone slopes of Brézé in Saumur. His rosé is built from estate Cabernet Franc, whole-cluster pressed, native-yeast fermented, no malolactic — the same minimal-intervention approach he brings to his white and red bottlings. The result is a rosé with actual structure and length, savory rather than sweet, mineral rather than fruit-forward. A serious Loire rosé for serious rosé drinkers.
