Vilmart et Cie, Grand Cellier Oenotheque T14, NV [2013] is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.

With a history of crafting some of the finest Champagnes in the Montagne de Reims, Vilmart et Cie brings us the Grand Cellier Oenothèque T13—a wine that perfectly exemplifies their commitment to quality and depth. The 2013 vintage (released in NV) has been carefully aged, with extended lees contact adding layers of complexity and finesse.

On the nose, this Champagne unfolds with rich aromas of toasted brioche, almond, and a delicate hint of honey. There’s a freshness of citrus zest, along with a subtle floral undertone, creating a beautiful balance of fruit and depth. On the palate, the wine is full and textured, with creamy mousse and a lively acidity that drives its length. A fine minerality persists throughout, culminating in a long, elegant finish that lingers with delicate toasty notes.

The Grand Cellier Oenothèque T13 is a Champagne that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with a variety of dishes. It’s perfect alongside oysters, lobster, or a creamy goat cheese, offering a level of complexity that makes it suitable for both celebratory moments and refined meals.

Professional Reviews

Antonio Galloni

AG 92
"The NV Brut Grand Cellier Oenothèque T13 is based on 2012, with reserve wines from 2011 and 2010. It’s a fine choice for drinking now and over the next decade or so. Airy and gracious, the T13 is quite fresh, especially for a wine of its age. Strong floral and citrus notes give this tons of charm. Hints of baked apple tart and pastry add character. This is impeccably done. Readers should note that the ‘T’ in the wine’s name refers to the calendar year of bottling (tirage), so the base vintage is one year prior." -Vinous

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
