Yann Alexandre is an eighth-generation vigneron in the Petite Montagne de Reims, with family roots dating to 1690. His great-grandfather made still wines sold to large houses; his grandfather Marcel began keeping their wines in 1933. Yann and wife Severine treat their 6.3 hectares across nine villages like gardens, achieving organic certification in 2020. The terroir features softer "tuffeau" chalk similar to the Loire, producing firmer, more structured wines. The Brut Noir blends 50% Pinot Meunier, 35% Chardonnay, and 15% Pinot Noir from 20 parcels, fermented in steel and used barrique with partial malolactic. Five years on lees, hand riddled. Racy, pure, and minimalist with fresh acidity. The return of wild tulips to their vineyards signals soil health.
