Domaine Pellé is the undisputed benchmark of Menetou-Salon, crafting wines that often rival the best Sancerre but at a fraction of the price. Sourced from the prized Kimmeridgian limestone soils of Morogues, this Sauvignon Blanc is all about purity and finesse. The 2023 vintage is especially bright and vibrant, shaped by a balanced growing season that highlights the terroir’s mineral-driven intensity.

Lemon zest, green apple, and delicate white flowers lead the way, with a flinty, chalky core that gives the wine its structure. A subtle hint of salinity adds depth, while the vibrant acidity keeps it racy and refreshing. Compared to a classic Sancerre, this has all the same crisp energy but with a slightly softer, more approachable edge.

This is an ideal white for lovers of terroir-driven Sauvignon Blanc—perfect with fresh oysters, goat cheese, or simple, buttery seafood dishes. Enjoy now for its youthful vibrancy, or let it evolve over the next few years for added complexity.

If you like fresh, mineral-driven white wine, you'll go bonkers for the wines of Paul-Henry Pellé. This guy is a star. Qualitatively, these wines can go tête-a-tête with top-shelf Sancerre, but they're a great deal less expensive. Farming is organic.
Pellé uses both stainless steel and wood, not only for élevage, but fermentation as well. This explains why the wines have bracing citric electricity tempered by a suave, creamy texture – "lemon curd" often pops up in our tasting notes.
