Domaine Pellé is a benchmark producer in Menetou-Salon, often seen as Sancerre’s quieter, more terroir-focused cousin. Blanchais is a single-vineyard cuvée from the village of Morogues, grown on Kimmeridgian limestone that gives the wine its chiseled structure and mineral tension. The 2022 vintage is particularly vibrant—fresh, detailed, and full of energy.

Lime zest, grapefruit, and green apple lead, with delicate floral notes and a core of chalky minerality that anchors the wine from start to finish. It’s crisp and focused but not austere, with just enough roundness to keep things balanced. Ideal with shellfish, goat cheese, or anything bright and herbaceous, this is Sauvignon Blanc that speaks softly but leaves a lasting impression. A hidden gem for lovers of precise, mineral-driven whites.

If you like fresh, mineral-driven white wine, you'll go bonkers for the wines of Paul-Henry Pellé. This guy is a star. Qualitatively, these wines can go tête-a-tête with top-shelf Sancerre, but they're a great deal less expensive. Farming is organic.
Pellé uses both stainless steel and wood, not only for élevage, but fermentation as well. This explains why the wines have bracing citric electricity tempered by a suave, creamy texture – "lemon curd" often pops up in our tasting notes.
