La Justice is a Gevrey-Chambertin lieu-dit on the eastern, flatter edge of the village near Brochon, and Guyon's holding here is built on roughly 45-year-old vines on clay, limestone and silt. Gevrey makes the most powerful Pinot Noir of the Cote de Nuits, and even at village level this delivers real depth and structure. The 2022 vintage was warm, giving a wine that is fresh and juicy with full body and noticeable elegance. Hand-harvested, vinified in wooden vats. A muscular but balanced introduction to Gevrey that drinks well now or with a few years' age.
