Les Narvaux sits on Meursault's northern boundary, where elevation increases and limestone intensifies, creating a wine of taut minerality and focus. Known among collectors for its distinctive salinity and linear structure, this lieu-dit produces whites that age into saline complexity—the opposite of the ripe, buttery Meursault stereotype. The 2023 from Roulot cuts with real precision: lime, chalk, and pear with a mouth-puckering minerality that defines this specific pocket of terroir. For those who seek structure over richness.

Professional Reviews

Antonio Galloni

AG 90
"The 2023 Meursault Les Narvaux comes from two parcels, one with 50-year-old vines and another replanted around ten years ago. It has a complex bouquet with more yellow fruit notes than the Les Tillets, wet pavement and light malic scents. The palate is very well balanced with impressive weight from start to finish, yet as Jean-Marc himself confessed, there is a little more heaviness here, bearing the imprimatur of the warm summer more than other cuvées." -Neal Martin

Robert Parker

RP 92
"Following on the footsteps of the accomplished 2022, the 2023 Meursault Narvaux is a strong effort, revealing aromas of pear and orange zest mingled with hazelnuts and flowers. Medium to full-bodied, layered and vibrant, with attractive purity and tension, it concludes with a saline finish." -William Kelley
