PYCM’s “Les Chenevottes” comes from a Premier Cru vineyard just downslope from Le Montrachet. The 2022 was sourced from old vines in shallow limestone soils, organically farmed and hand-harvested.

Fermented with native yeasts and aged in large oak barrels with modest new wood. Bottled without fining or filtration, it’s a refined, mineral-rich expression of Chassagne’s elegance and precision.

Professional Reviews

"This is even more floral-suffused with its nose of petrol, lemon rind and soft wood. The rich and quite generously proportioned middleweight flavors coat the palate with dry extract while exuding a more subtle bead of minerality on the balanced, lingering and citrus-tinged finish. Once again this is sufficiently forward to allow for good early drinkability yet should have no trouble repay a decade plus of keeping." -Allen Meadows

"The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Chenevottes 1er Cru has a focused and precise nose, though it has the unenviable task of following the flattering Abbaye de Morgeot. There is a strictness here. The palate is fresh on the entry, quite sapid with touches of dried honey mixed with orange rind and light walnut notes towards the finish. Give this 3-4 years in bottle. Serious Chassagne!" -Neal Martin

"The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes opens in the glass with notes of honeyed pear, white flowers, freshly baked bread and beeswax. Medium to full-bodied, lively and structured, it's taut and chalky, foregrounding this site's shallow, stony soils more than its sunny exposition." -William Kelley

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
