Joseph Colin’s Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru “Vide Bourse” comes from a prized parcel on limestone and marl soils. Joseph, son of Marc Colin, brings sharp focus and gentle hands to this classic site.

Hand-harvested, fermented with native yeasts, and aged in fine French oak, the 2023 is layered and precise, showcasing Chassagne’s signature depth and minerality.

Professional Reviews

Antonio Galloni

AG 92
"The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Vide Bourse 1er Cru is more expressive on the nose compared to the En Remilly tasted alongside, with more energy and minerality. The palate is taut on the entry, very tensile, with oak (10-20%) adding weight to the finish that fans out nicely. This is a delicious, quite spicy Chassagne." -Neal Martin

Burgundy has long been the world's most famous wine region. But, underneath all the prestige, this region can be hard to get to know.

While Burgundy offers many great trophies from top producers in well-known villages like Vosne Romanee and Puligny Montrachet, it also offers excellent values to anyone willing to explore beyond the famous names. Our collection– one of the largest in the U.S. – has plenty of both!

From the very basics of Burgundy's regions and wines to the specific terroirs of individual single vineyards--
everything you need to know about Bourgogne is just a click away!
